Uruzgan resident constructs bridge at own cost

TIRINKOT (Pajhwok): Using his own money, an inhabitant of Tirinkot city, the provincial capital of central Uruzgan province, has built a bridge at a cost of 10 million afghanis, an official said on Saturday.

Nangyal Habibi, an official of Rural Rehabilitation and Development Department, told a ceremony in this regard the bridge was 40 metre-long and five metre wide.

He said the project consumed 10 million afghanis and took three months to complete.”

He added the bridge had been constructed on a standard manner and all kind of vehicles could use it.

On the other hand, residents of the provincial capital were also happy over the construction of the bridge.

They urged other well-off individuals to implement such development schemes.
