KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi has held a meeting with Turkish Ambassador to Afghanistan Cenk Ünal and discussed the promotion of economic and diplomatic relationships between the two countries, an official said on Wednesday.
Zia Ahmad Takal, deputy spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on his x.com wrote that the acting foreign minister has held a meeting with Ambassador Cenk Ünal here.
The source wrote that in this meeting, the parties discussed and exchanged views on economic and diplomatic developments between Türkiye and Afghanistan and some regional issues.
The source added that the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs thanked the Turkish government for providing Afghan diplomats in Ankara and Istanbul with the necessary facilities to carry out their duties.
In this meeting, Muttaqi said that relations with Türkiye were of particular importance for the Islamic Emirate.
On the other hand, the Turkish ambassador to Kabul said that his country is trying to increase the level of diplomatic relations between the two countries and make progress in the political, economic and other sectors
