2 killed, 3 wounded in Ghazni traffic accident

GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): Two people have been killed and three others injured in a traffic accident in the Gilan district of southern Ghazni province, an official said on Sunday.

Police spokesman Abu Khalid Sarhadi told Pajhwok Afghan News that the incident occurred late on Saturday when a 4runner-type vehicle hit a child in the Janda Bazaar area of the district. The vehicle then overturned.

He said two people, including the child, lost their lives and three others wounded in the accident. He attributed the accident to reckless driving.

According to him, security forces rushed to the scene, and both the bodies and the injured were transferred to a nearby hospital.
