1 cop killed, 4 injured in Balochistan attack

KABUL (Pajhwok): One Pakistani police officer has been killed and four others have been wounded in a suicide bomb attack in Balochistan, a media report said on Tuesday.

The attack took place on the National Highway near the Mughalzai area of Kalat district on Monday, Radio Mashaal reported.

Deputy Commissioner Bilal Shabbir said the attacker targeted a convoy of security forces. He confirmed one police officer was killed and four others were injured in the explosion.

Meanwhile, a local source from Kalat told the BBC the attack was carried out by a female suicide bomber, but her identity has not been confirmed yet.
