KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): Two families reconciled and ended their three-year-old enmity in northern Kunduz province following mediation of tribal elders and local officials, an official said on Wednesday.
Governor spokesman Zalmai Hanif told Pajhwok Afghan News the feud surfaced between the two families three years ago over family problems that claimed one life in Nawyan area of Kunduz city.
“The two families reconciled and forgave each other following efforts of tribal elders, religious scholars and local officials”: he added.
Hanif explained the provincial administration seriously supported the process of resolving local conflicts and was trying to eliminate all existing hostilities through understanding and mediation.
Since the Islamic Emirate takeover, hundreds of enmities have been resolved in the province.
