KABUL (Pajhwok): Russia on Wednesday claimed shooting down dozens of Ukrainian drones in different regions.
Russian air defences intercepted and destroyed 34 Ukrainian drones on Tuesday night, the Defence Ministry in Moscow said.
In a statement cited by TASS, the ministry said 15 of the fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles were downed over the Kursk region.
Another eight drones were destroyed over Bryansk region, seven over Oryol Region, three over Vladimir and one over Belgorod, the ministry added.
Alexander Avdeyev, the governor of Vladimir region, said the falling debris of drones triggered a fire in Murom.
Two buildings were damaged in the drone strike, the governor wrote on his Telegram channel.
