Nearly 5.8m types of narcotics seized in Nimroz

ZARANJ (Pajhwok): More than five million types of drugs (methadone) have been seized and one individual arrested on the charge of their smuggling in southwestern Nimroz province, an official said on Monday.

Head of Counter Narcotics Department Maulvi Faiz Mohammad Faizani told Pajhwok Afghan News: “Security forces seized 5.760 million types of methadone tablets from a garage in Sistan town area of Zaranj city”.

These narcotics were intended to be smuggled from Nimroz to other provinces, he added.

Faizani explained a person has been detained in connection with this case.
