5 killed, 2 wounded in Kunduz traffic accident

KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): Five people have been killed and two others injured as a result of a traffic accident in northern Kunduz province, an official said on Monday.

Police spokesman Jummaddin Khaksar said the accident took place when a corolla-type vehicle veered off the road and overturned in Emam Sahib District last night at 2:30am.

He said five people died and two others were injured in the accident.

According to Khaksar, security forces reached the scene and evacuated the injured to the zonal hospital.

The accident occurred due to reckless driving, he said.
