KABUL (Pajhwok]): Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan chief spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid on Friday condemned Israel’s deadly attacks on Iran as a clear violation of the basic principles of international law.
Israel on Friday morning hit Iran’s nuclear facilities, ballistic missile factories and military commanders, killing the country’s top commander, nuclear scientists and civilians
Mujahid wrote on his X-Page that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan condemns in strongest terms the recent attacks by the Israeli regime on the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
He said the assassination of nuclear scientists and commanders were considered a violation of the basic principles of international law, especially the national sovereignty of countries, and a clear violation of territorial integrity.
He wrote: “This (military) action comes when the oppressed people of Palestine, especially in the Gaza Strip, are facing incessant suffering, and the occupying regime continues the oppression with disregard for humanitarian and international laws.”
According to Mujahid, such actions that increase violence have made the situation in the region even more worrying.
He added: “The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan calls on all parties involved to address this issue with full responsibility, in accordance with their assigned duty of maintaining regional security and stability, in order to prevent any increase in insecurity and instability in the region.”
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres also condemned any escalation in the Middle East and called on both sides to exercise maximum restraint.
