KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Propagation of Virtue says causing problems and harassing people on social media is a legal crime and those who commit it will be dealt with legally.
On its X platform, The Ministry of Propagation of Virtue, Prevention of Vice and Hearing Complaints (MoPVPE) wrote social media is for reliable information, education, business and public awareness, and these goals should be pursued.
“Threatening, insulting, causing problems and harassment to people through anonymous or private addresses on social media is a crime under law and is subject to prosecution and legal action by MoPVPE”: it added.
The ministry expressed its hope that no one would misuse social media.
