Nearly 700 Afghans released from Pakistani jails

<p style="text-align: justify;">KABUL (Pajhwok): Nearly 700 Afghan refugees have returned to the country this week after being released from jails in Pakistan, the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation (MoRR) said on Thursday.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">In a post on X, the ministry stated that 694 individuals, who had been detained in various parts of Pakistan, were released and repatriated to Afghanistan.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the MoRR, these individuals had been held for periods ranging from one to five days.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Upon arrival in Afghanistan, the returnees were provided with humanitarian assistance and later transferred to their respective home districts, the ministry added.</p>
