KABUL (Pajhwok): Three Iranian security personnel have been killed in an armed attack in Sistan and Balochestan province, Iran.
According to Fars News Agency, the attack occurred on Thursday and targeted police patrol officers from the (relief) unit in Saravan district.
The Sistan and Baluchestan police information center said the officers were “providing security for citizens” when they came under gunfire.
Police added that efforts are ongoing to identify and arrest those responsible for the attack.
