82 Afghans released from Pakistani prisons return home: MoRR

KABUL (Pajhwok): At least 82 Afghans returned to the country this week after being released from prisons in neighbouring Pakistan, the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation (MoRR) said on Thursday.

The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation (MoRR) said on its Facebook page that, according to officials at the Spin Boldak transit office under the Kandahar Refugees Department, the individuals had been detained for lacking residence documents.

The source added that after their release, the individuals were registered at the office, provided with humanitarian assistance, and later transferred to their home areas.

Earlier, around 84 other Afghans had also been released from Pakistani prisons.
