KABUL (Pajhwok): A suspected armed robber has been killed and another detained in a clash with police in the 11th police district of Kabul, an official said on Tuesday.
Khalid Zadran, spokesman for Kabul police headquarters, wrote on his X page that the suspects had allegedly stolen 70,000 afghanis from a money exchanger before fleeing the scene.
“Police pursued the suspects after being informed of the incident. During the chase, the robbers opened fire and one of them was killed in retaliatory fire, while the other was detained,” he added.
Investigative bodies were working to identify and arrest other accomplices involved in the robbery, the police spokesman concluded.
