570 families gain access to safe drinking water in Ghor

FEROZKOH (Pajhwok): Two water supply networks have been completed and put into service in western Ghor province, an official said on Saturday.

Zabihullah Ghawsizada, spokesman for the Rural Rehabilitation and Development Department, told Pajhwok Afghan News the projects were implemented in Badgah village of Ferozkoh district and Dehghan Mullah village of Dolaina district.

According to him, the projects included the construction of two water reservoirs with a combined capacity of 96 cubic metres, installation of 36 solar panels, construction of 337 water taps, and the laying of 16,399 metres of pipeline.

He added that with the completion of the projects, 570 families have gained access to safe drinking water.

He said the projects are expected to have a positive and lasting impact on people’s lives and play an important role in improving their health and social conditions.
