KABUL (Pajhwok): The General Directorate of Olympics, Physical Education and Sports says Afghanistan’s national powerlifting team has travelled to Belarus to take part in an international competition.
In a statement, the directorate said the seven-member Afghan delegation—comprising six athletes and one coach—left for Belarus on Tuesday to participate in the event.
According to the statement, the competition will feature youth, masters and open categories, with athletes from several countries taking part.
The tournament is scheduled to begin on May 6 and run until May 10.
