KABUL (Pajhwok): Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi has met his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi in Beijing, a media report said on Wednesday.
Mehr News Agency reported that Araghchi arrived in Beijing, the capital of China, this morning at 3:00am Iran time at the head of a diplomatic delegation.
It said the two foreign ministers discussed issues of mutual interest and exchanged views.
Meanwhile, Reuters also reported on the meeting.
It said Araghchi’s one-day visit comes a week ahead of a planned trip by US President Donald Trump to Beijing for talks with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping on May 14 and 15.
