KABUL (Pajhwok): At least four people were injured in an explosion near a railway track in Quetta city on Sunday, according to a media report.
The blast occurred near Chaman Phatak area on Sunday morning, The News of Pakistan reported.
The explosion partially damaged a passing train and also destroyed around 10 parked vehicles in the vicinity. The force of the blast shattered windows and glass panels of nearby buildings.
Railway authorities said the Jaffar Express, bound for Peshawar, was stopped at Quetta Railway Station as a precaution following the incident.
Babar Yousafzai, spokesperson for the Balochistan home minister, said all relevant institutions had been placed on high alert after the explosion.
He urged the public to avoid gathering near the blast site to ensure safety and allow emergency services to conduct rescue operations without obstruction.
No group has claimed responsibility for the blast so far, and investigations are ongoing.
