KABUL (Pajhwok): The supreme leader of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) has instructed officials during a Cabinet meeting in Kandahar to properly fulfil their responsibilities, implement Sharia law and decrees, ensure justice for the people, resolve problems and serve with sincerity.

Mullah Hamdullah Fitrat, deputy spokesman of the IEA, wrote on his X account on Saturday that a Cabinet meeting was held in Kandahar province under the leadership of the IEA leader, Mullah Hibatullah Akhundzada.

He said that during the meeting, the leadership issued necessary directives to ministers regarding the proper fulfilment of their duties, effective implementation of Sharia law and decrees, ensuring justice for the people, resolving problems and serving with sincerity.

Fitrat added that the leader of the Islamic Emirate also spoke about the importance of religious education, piety, humility, religious awareness, studying and implementing Islamic decrees and conveying them to the people to strengthen the Islamic system.

He urged officials to consider religion and Sharia as the foundation in all their affairs.

Addressing officials, he said: “You are now members and pillars of the Islamic system. Teach religious knowledge to your subordinates and the people, and instruct them in correct belief. Weakness in actions comes from weakness in belief. Take religious knowledge to mountains and deserts and revive religious learning so that the Islamic system becomes strong.

“Strive to spread knowledge everywhere and revive religion, make people understand religion, Sharia and the Islamic system, and monitor yourselves as well as your subordinates. We must present Islam and religion through our actions. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) conveyed religion through his actions, and we must also teach people through our actions.

“Today, people follow our actions, so a fortunate person is one who brings happiness to others. Every era passes; we must strive to leave behind good principles, regulations, history and ethics for future generations.”

Fitrat added, without providing details, that the meeting also approved decisions on improving educational services, strengthening economic and political sectors and reviewing previous council decisions.
