GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): Security forces have arrested four individuals and seized 231 kilograms of opium in southern Ghazni province.
In a statement, the Ghazni police said the narcotics were captured by highway protection forces at a security checkpoint in the Rawza-i-Kotal area near Ghazni city.
The drugs were concealed in two vehicles and were being smuggled from Balkh province to Helmand.
The police stated that four suspects were arrested in connection with the smuggling attempt, along with one weapon.
