KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has announced the deployment of a mobile eye care team to Baghlan province, saying it will provide free surgeries, examinations, eyeglasses and medicines to patients in need.
In a statement, the ministry said the programme will run from July 5 to 16 and will include 400 cataract surgeries, distribution of 850 reading glasses and provision of medicines for around 4,500 to 5,500 patients.
The MoPH urged residents of Baghlan suffering from eye diseases to visit the provincial public health department within the specified period to benefit from the free services offered by the team.
