GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): Residents of southern Ghazni province urge the caretaker government to resume work on incomplete projects in the province.
Sher Ahmad, a resident of Ghazni City, told Pajhwok Afghan News work on some huge and small schemes initiated by the previous government was halted after the formation of the new government.
He asked the caretaker government to resume work on the incomplete projects in the province.
He said resumption of work on incomplete projects would help prevent damage to the projects, provide jobs and services after their completion.
Mohammad Ashraf, a resident who worked on reconstruction projects during the previous government, said currently he was unemployed due to the stoppage of work of the projects.
He told Pajhwok if the current caretaker government started work on half-completed projects, it would improve the economic situation of the people.
Hafiz Omar Ghazani, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok that the provincial administration was striving to resume work on incomplete projects and attract budget for it after talking with the central government.
Construction of 15 residential blocks by the municipality in Ghazni city, which has been completed about 80 percent, construction of a gymnasium is completed 70 percent, cold storages and dozens of other projects which were started during the previous government, but after political change work on these schemes came to a halt.
