Tazir punishment executed on 14 convicts in Kabul, Khost

KABUL (Pajhwok): Fourteen convicts have been handed over Tazir punishment for different crimes they committed, a statement from the Apex Court said on Thursday.

The primary court of Deh Sabz District said, four people, including two women, were sentenced for the crime of illicit relations and two people were sentenced for the charge of adultery, the Supreme Court said in a statement.

The primary court sentenced four criminals to one-year imprisonment each and 39 lashes and two criminals to 13-month imprisonment 39 lashes each.

Separately, the Supreme Court on its x.com wrote that based on the decision of the urban primary court of Khost province, eight people were publically punished for bribery, forgery and fraud.

Six of these criminals were sentenced to one year in prison and 35 lashes each, seven criminals were sentenced to two years in jail and 39 lashes each and the last criminal was sentenced to one year in jail and 35 lashes.

The punishment was conducted after the approval of the Apex Court at the highest level.
