KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan’s national powerlifting athletes returned home on Tuesday after winning six medals, including four gold, at the 2026 World Cup Series in Belarus.
The Olympic Committee and General Directorate of Physical Education and Sports said the national powerlifting team arrived in the country with six international medals.
The competition was hosted by Belarus from May 6 to 10 and featured athletes from 10 countries.
Afghanistan was represented by six athletes and one coach.
Afghan athletes secured four gold medals, one silver medal and one bronze medal at the event.
