13 civilian killed in Daikundi roadside bombing

SHIBERGHAN (Pajhwok): At least 13 civilians were killed and four others wounded as a result of a roadside bombing in central Daikundi province on Tuesday, an official said.

Police chief Ghulam Sakhi Ghafoori told Pajhwok Afghan News that a civilian vehicle -- carrying 17 people -- struck a roadside bomb in the Dasht-i-Sauf area of Kajran district at 9:00am.

He said 13 individuals, including womeninfo-icon and children, were killed and four others in the incident.

In Jawzjan, a crime branch official was killed under mysterious circumstances. Police chief Abdul Wahid Wijdan Abdul Wakil’s body was found 50 meter from his house.

He said: “Wakil left his home on Friday morning without informing his family and remained missing till Monday night. Wakil was murdered due to personal enmity.
