KUNDUZ CITY (PAN were killed and two policemen were wounded during a clash in the northern province of Kunduz, an official said on Wednesday.
The firefight occurred late on Tuesday when a police vehicle struck a roadside bomb in the Char Saraka area of the Dasht-i-Archi district.
Two policemen were slightly injured and their vehicle destroyed, Sheikh Sadruddin, the district chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Sahib Khan, a resident of the area, said two fighters were killed in the clash.
Zabihullah Mujahid, a spokesman for the Taliban, claimed five policemen were killed and seven others injured.
