KABUL (Pajhwok): Officials on Saturday said five Daesh or Islamic State militants have been killed in a drone strike in eastern Nangarhar province.
The Nangarhar governor’s spokesman, Attaullah Khogyani, said the incident took place last night in Momand Dara area of the Achin district.
He said the dead included four Pakistanis. A machinegun belonging to the rebels was also destroyed in the drone attack that caused no casualties to security forces and civilians.
The Daesh group has said about the drone strike that came a day after local officials said 16 Daesh fighters were killed in the troubled district.
