KABUL): President Hamid Karzai and his Bulgarian counterpart on Wednesday discussed bilateral cooperation in diverse fields, the Presidential Palace in Kabul said.
Karzai told the Bulgarian leader, Rosen Plevneliev, that they were interested in sending Afghan students to Sofia for higher education in medical and engineering fields, a statement from the palace said.
Karzai also urged Plevneliev to help Kabul strengthen the Afghan health sector. The visiting dignitary promised assistance in education and health sectors, the statement added.
The Bulgarian president invited Karzai to visit his country, which has 400 soldiers, doctors and teachers serving in Afghanistan).
