KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): The revenue of the municipality department of southeastern Khost province has increased by 50 percent over last year’s returns, the mayor said on Thursday.
Speaking at a gathering organised by local businessmen in Khost City, the provincial capital, Mayor Karamat Khan Khpalwak linked the 33 million afghanis increase in income to enhanced cooperation between traders and the municipality.
The mayor said corruption in his department had extensively been prevented and those somehow involved in the menace had been removed.
