KABUL (Pajhwok): Officials of the Election Reforms Commission (ERC) has said the selection committee, a proposed body to nominate members of the two electoral commissions, may start work next week.
Sadiqullah Tawhidi, deputy head of the ERC, told Pajhwok Afghan News the committee would launch its introductory meeting on Thursday and would then paid a visit to the President.
He said: “unfortunately the Presidential Palace delayed invitation and organisation of the committee members under different pretext, adding that the selection committee should have started its work . . .
