KABUL (HIA), led by Eng. Gulbadin Hekmatyar, said on Tuesday it would take part in peace negotiations if foreigners stayed aloof from the process.
Dr. Ghairat Baheer, head of the group’s political wing, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the HIA welcomed President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani’s offer of negotiations.
Earlier, the president had asked Hekmatyar to join the ongoing peace effort so that durable peace and stability could be ensured in the country.
