KABUL (Pajhwok): Atta Mohammad Noor has been reappointed as the governor of northern Balkh province, Independent Directorate of Local Governance (IDLG) officials said on Monday.
Munir Yousafzada, IDLG spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News President Ashraf Ghani on Monday approved the appointment of Noor as the governor of Balkh.
Noor was governor of Balkh under former president Hamid Karzai and continued to hold the office after the formation of the unity government in Kabul as acting governor.
