JALALABAD (Pajhwok): A woman from the Kot district of eastern Nangarhar province, who lost six sons in the fight against Daesh, thanked Pajhwok Afghan News on Tuesday for filing a detailed report on her plight.
After Pajhwok released her interview, President Ashraf Ghani conferred the Malalai Medal on Niaz Bibi, whose two sons are still fighting against the militant group in the eastern province.
Pajhwok filed three reports on the woman to draw attention to her predicament. The Nangarhar governor has decided to help her after reading Pajhwok’s second report.
