MAIMANA (Pajhwok): The provincial education department head and another senior official have been arrested on charges ranging from fraud, forgery and corruption in northern Faryab province, officials said on Saturday.
Farid Ghori, head of the provincial attorney’s office, said Ghulam Sakhi Bayan, the education department head, and Islamuddin Hatmi, human resources head at the department, had been detained on charges of fraud and corruption.
“Corruption and bribery run in their veins, the education department head was previously involved in abuse of authority,” said Ghori.
