PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): The United Nations Population Fund and the government of Afghanistan on Thursday signed the Standard Basic Assistance Agreement (SBAA) -- an umbrella legal document that governs technical and financial aid.
Previously, UNFPA assistance interventions were governed under a similar agreement signed between the Afghan government and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
Minister of Economy Dr. Mustafa Mastoor said in a statement from the UN agency the BSAA would be effective from 2018 to 2027, with an estimated budget of 150 million dollars.
