Minister of Women’s Affaires Delbar Nazari issued the call during her speech to the 62nd session of Commission on the Status of Women in New York.
She also underlined the need for the establishment and implementation of sound financial mechanisms to enforce the national action plan and women's economic empowerment.
Nazari said more than 240 women were currently serving as judges in her country's judicial system. Women represent 21 percent of the members of the Afghanistan Independent Bar Association.
