KABUL (Pajhwok): National Security Advisor Mohammad Hanif Atmar has said besides working to advance the peace process the government is simultaneously pursuing its counterterrorism strategy.

Addressing the third “High Level Security Conference” in the Russian city of Sochi, Atmar said “terrorism is a common regional threat that does not belong to a single country. With the expansion of terrorism, the global community would suffer.”

Atmar was quoted as saying by Qader Shah, spokesman and strategic relations head at the National Security Council (NSC), on Thursday.
