WASHINGTON (Pajhwok): The United States on Monday asked its citizens not to travel to Afghanistan due to crime, terrorism, unrest and armed conflict.
Travel to all areas of Afghanistan was unsafe because of high levels of kidnappings, hostage taking, suicide bombings, widespread military operations, landmines, and terrorist attacks, the State Department said.
In its latest travel advisory, the department said: “Terrorist groups continue plotting possible attacks in Afghanistan. Terrorists may attack with little or no warning, targeting tourist locations, transport hubs, gatherings and government buildings.”
