Jim Inhofe, chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, said he had discussed with President Donald Trump his objections to a time-based pullout.
Inhofe told journalists on Capitol Hill on Tuesday that anyone claiming to have a withdrawal timeline was unaware of what they were talking about.
“It should have been conditions on the ground from the beginning for any place where we have troops,” Inhofe was quoted as saying by Radio Free Europe . . .
