PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): President Ashraf Ghani has asked Pakistan, especially its private sector, to take part in the infrastructure development of his country.

Speaking at the Pak-Afghan Business Forum at the Governor’s House in Lahore on Friday, Ghani said Afghanistan could play an effective role in improved connectivity between Central Asia and South Asia.

Afghanistan could play an effective role in expanding the scope of the Gwadar port to Central Asian states, the Afghan leader believed

Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar hoped Ghani’s two-day visit to Pakistan would help cement relations between the two Muslim countries.

Prime Minister’s Advisor on Commerce, Trade and Textile Abdul Razak Dawood said they had held productive talks with Ghani on trade and connectivity.
