PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): Violence against women cases significantly decreased in northern Baghlan province this year compared, an official said on Wednesday.
Women affairs director Khudija Yaqeen told a press conference in Pul-i-Khumri City, the provincial capital, that they recorded 279 violence cases last year compared to 215 cases this year, showing a significant decrease. She said mostly assassinations and runaway from home cases had decreased due to awareness and their consultations with people in this regard.
