Stoltenberg made the remarks soon after his arrival in Kabul. He met Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr. Abdullah Abdullah.
Stoltenberg reached Kabul hours ahead of the signing of the US-Taliban agreement to discuss peace and NATO’s commitments with President Ashraf Ghani and other senior officials.
At his meeting with Stoltenberg, Abdullah commended the alliance for its continued commitment and support to the Afghan forces, the CEO office said in a statement.
