FIROZKOH (Pajhwok): Forty-years-old Sabzah Gul, whose husband was killed in the conflict in western Ghor province, has urged the warning parties to extend ceasefire and start intra-Afghan talks.
Sabzah Gul has been living along with her four children in Firozkoh, the provincial capital, and leading a difficult life due to poverty.
She told Pajhwok Afghan News in an interview that her husband was a public order policeman who was killed in a fight with Taliban militants in Shahrak district last year. And since she has been struggling to meet her family’s needs.
About Eidul Adah, she said her children missed their father on the Eid. “We had no Eid, my children each moment ask for their father.”
She added that due to poor economic situation, she was not able to buy new clothes for her kids.
While crying, the widow said when her husband was alive, their children had everything during Eids, “but this Eid we have nothing.”
She urged the warring sides to extend the ceasefire and enter intra-Afghan talks as soon as possible, saying her only hope was to see lasting peace across the country so no child lose father.
