KABUL (Pajhwok): The governor’s house of eastern Kunar has said it supports a Pajhwok Afghan News report regarding corruption in the free bread scheme.
Pajhwok report showed that the government’s free bread distribution scheme in Kunar province suffered a loss of over 1.3 million afghanis as a result of corruption.
A few hours after Pajhwok published its report, the governor’s house issued a statement and said it backed and supported the news agency’s report.
The governor’s house assured the nation and media that it would thoroughly investigate all issues reported and would take legal action against those involved in corruption.
The statement said the governor’s house was committed to fighting all forms of corruption.
