PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): An illegal chamber of commerce and industry issued certificates of origin for Pakistan and the Central Asian states.
A Pakistani newspaper reported on Thursday the Kurram Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which issued the certificates, was yet to be registered with the government.
The certificates were issued in February, but on July 20, the Ministry of Commerce informed the Model Customs Collectorate of Appraisement in Kohat that the chamber had not been registered with the Directorate General of Trade Organisation (DGTO).
