US House impeaches Trump for a second time

KABUL (Pajhwok): Members of US congress impeached the US President Donald Trump for inciting deadly riots on Capitol Hill, reports said on Thursday.

VoA reported that 232 members of House of Representatives voted for Trump’s impeachment while 197 other members of the house denied impeaching him.

The report added that 10 of his fellow Republicans were also among the voters who urged the president’s impeachment.

Donald Trump’s term as president of the US would end in week. He is the only US president in the history to be impeached twice.

Nancy Pelosi, speaker of the US House of Representatives claimed that President Trump was a threat to freedom and rule of law.

“Impeachment would not unite the country; it is a political game and democrats want to remove the president,” Jim Jordan, a democrat representative said.

If US Senate verified the accusations, then President Trump would never be able to run for US presidential elections again.
