LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): Contracts for 15 different projects worth 1.8 million US dollars were signed on Tuesday in southern Helmand province.
Provincial Agriculture Director ZalmaiAloko said that the projects would be implemented over the next five years.
He said these projects would greatly benefit farmers and herdsmen.
Aloko said the 15 projects were being implemented in collaboration with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
ZakariaAhmadzai, a representative of USAID, said the projects included two small oil factories, a laboratory, a wool processing plant, a carpet weaving centre, an animal feed processing plant and some other things.
