PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Pakistan has assured Afghanistan of stout support in its struggle against the menace of terrorism.
The Foreign Office, denouncing a recent truck bombing in Logar province, said: “At this moment of grief, Pakistan stands by its Afghan brethren in their struggle against the scourge of terrorism.”
In a statement on Sunday, the ministry promised: “Pakistan will continue to support Afghanistan on its path to peace, progress and prosperity.”
It strongly condemned the heinous terrorist attack that took place in Pul-i-Alam, the capital city of central Logar province, on Friday.
The statement regretted the loss of scores of innocent lives and injuries to many others in the powerful bombing in a building.
On behalf of the people and the government of Pakistan, the ministry offered its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayers for the speedy recovery of the injured.
