KABUL (Pajhwok): US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan has stressed over an urgent need for Reduction in Violence (RiV) and political settlement of Afghan conflict.
During a meeting with Pakistani National Security Advisor Dr. Moeed, US stressed the need for RiV and political settlement to Afghan conflict.
“We discussed the urgent need for a reduction in violence in Afghanistan and a negotiated political settlement to the conflict,” he wrote in his official twitter handler after meeting his Pakistani counterpart.
“I met with Pakistan’s NSA today to consult on regional connectivity and security, and other areas of mutual cooperation,” he said.
Pakistani NSA Dr. Moeed also twitted after the meeting and said “Had a positive follow-up meeting with NSA Jake Sullivan today in Washington,” Yusuf said in his tweet. “Took stock of progress made since our Geneva meeting and discussed bilateral, regional and global issues of mutual interest.”
