JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Around 13 steel mills have been shut down in eastern Nangarhar province due to non-availability of raw materials, owners said on Monday.
The Taliban do not allow scrap loaded trucks from Kabul to Nangarhar, therefore their mills are stopped and could not function.
After the fall of Ghani government and the Taliban takeover, reports emerged that some military vehicles of Afghan forces were transferred to neighbouring countries under the label of scrap therefore the Taliban banned scrap delivery to foreign countries.
